Business Day Calculator

This calculator counts working days (business days) in Poland. A business day is any day from Monday to Friday that is not a public holiday. The calculator automatically excludes all weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and all 14 Polish statutory public holidays.

Two calculation modes

• Count days between two dates. Enter a start and end date to find out how many business days fall in that range. Useful for calculating notice periods, vacation days, or project durations.
• Add business days to a date. Enter a start date and a number of business days to find the target date. Useful for calculating deadlines, payment due dates, or delivery windows.

When is this useful?

• Payroll and HR: calculate working days in a pay period, verify notice periods, or count vacation days used.
• Legal deadlines: many Polish legal deadlines are counted in business days, not calendar days. Verify exact due dates for court filings, tax returns, or administrative procedures.
• Project planning: estimate realistic timelines by counting only working days. Account for holiday periods that reduce available workdays.
• Logistics and delivery: calculate expected delivery dates based on business day shipping times.

Which holidays are excluded?

The calculator excludes all Polish statutory public holidays as defined by the Act of 18 January 1951 on non-working days. Poland has 14 public holidays per year (13 before 2025). These include both fixed-date holidays (like New Year's Day on January 1) and moveable holidays that depend on Easter (like Corpus Christi).
