The exact dates change each year, which means some years have more long weekend opportunities than others.

Christmas Eve as a public holiday

Starting in 2025, December 24 (Christmas Eve) is a statutory public holiday in Poland. Previously it was a regular working day, although most Poles treated it as a half-day or took the day off. The change was introduced by an amendment to the non-working days act, bringing the total number of public holidays from 13 to 14.
